“Stick and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”
Chief Operating Officer of Farm Fresh, Azmi Danial is living proof of this famous saying on how criticism is a form of motivation. In his Facebook post, Azmi recalls his humble beginnings running a dairy farm business which saw some hard times. He remembers vividly how he started out with just 60 cows and would buy milk from local breeders.

Due to his financial standing, most delivery companies were not interested in delivering his goods. He also worked long hours at multiple venues just to stay afloat.
The worst part of it all were the naysayers who doubted his capabilities. Some competitors told buyers at a supermarket – “There’s no need to worry about this small company, they will eventually die off on their own anyway.”
When he was looking for promoters, they would tell him, “Are you sure you can pay me my salary? I mean, you’re wearing slippers.”
Despite feeling disheartened, Azmi continued working hard to achieve his dreams. Instead of drowning in negativity, he turned such criticism into fuel to do better!

Today, Azmi is the co-owner of one of the country’s popular dairy company, Farm Fresh. With over 551 outlets across the country, Farm Fresh has managed to capture 39% of the local fresh milk market.
