The Qatar World Cup has finally made it to its ultimate stage, and it will see reigning champions France face 1986’s titleholder Argentina this Sunday at the Lusail Stadium.

Football enthusiasts are already gearing up to witness the battle of Lionel Messi vs Kylian Mbappe – King vs Heir to the Throne.

France goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris expects his team to face a difficult moment when they face Argentina in the final of the 2022 World Cup which will take place this Sunday.

While Lionel Messi is eyeing the opportunity to win his first World Cup, France is trying to ensure that the title of world champion does not slip out of his grasp, after emerging as the champion of the tournament in the 2018 edition.

"Argentina is a really great team. The team has shown how competitive they are, and they have a player (Messi) who has proven to be an unrivalled talent in the football arena.

"We will try to turn things around," Lloris said after Wednesday's 2-0 win over Morocco in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, French midfielder Youssouf Fofana admitted it was "not easy" to replace Adrien Rabiot who was unable to play after contracting the virus.

"He's been great since the start of the World Cup and it's hard to reach his level, but the team has helped me a lot and so far, it's been going well," said Fofana.
