The Malaysian Ministry of Education (MoE) is developing a special education sports school in Bandar Enstek, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan which is expected to be fully operational in 2025.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek stated that the construction of the school is one of the MoE's commitments to ensure that sports are cultured and in line with current developments.
"The sports school will also help shape the character and health of students in addition to leading the concept of 'Good and Smart Children' applied by the ministry," she said during the KPM-MSSM-MILO 2022 Sports Awards ceremony.
According to Fadhlina, the ministry is in the process of determining the type of sports that will be given priority in the school, including those that give hope for medals at para sports tournaments abroad.
The Malaysian contingent has a great team of para-athletes within a broad spectrum.
The idea of a special education sports school will be a leaping board for many potential athletes and is a tool to encourage more people to take part in taking the country to greater heights.
