The country's bowling squad ended their campaign at the International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Championships with a silver medal in the women's team event at the Kuwait Bowling Sporting Club, on Sunday night.

The national quintet consisting of Sin Li Jane, Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman, Esther Cheah, Gillian Lim and Nora Lyana Nastasia Norkamal had to settle for second place after losing 1-2 to South Korea in the final.
The Malaysian squad lost 177-211, 207-169, 203-214 to South Korea. The national bowling team advanced to the final after defeating Singapore 2-1 while South Korea beat China 2-0.
Newly crowned Women's Individual Champion Natasha Roslan was rested throughout the team event due to a thumb injury. Nevertheless, the team persevered and scored its best result at the championship.
Last Monday, Natasha ended the country's 12-year drought for a women's individual champion at the World Championships after defeating teammate Li Jane 2-1.
