Langkawi has been ranked fourth for Best Islands in Asia, while three hotels from the island were also among the top 20 Best Resorts in Asia.

Often referred to as the most authoritative and influential travel and lifestyle magazine in the world, global publication Condé Nast Traveller returned this year for the 35th installation of the Readers' Choice Awards 2022.

Consisting of categories which include best hotels, resorts, cruise lines, spas, cities, islands, and even travel mediums such as airlines, airports, and trains, it was revealed that Langkawi has made its way onto the list, scoring awards in multiple categories.

The publication affirmed that all winners were independently selected by their readers, thereby adding context to the quality of champions crowned for each category.

Ranking fourth of the Top Islands in Asia list, Langkawi narrowly missed out on a top three placing, with a 90.97 score.

Langkawi, the archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea is known for its rich tourism and an array of exciting places to visit.

The islands that placed ahead of Langkawi included Koh Samui in Thailand (92.13), Bali in Indonesia (93.9) and Boracay in the Philippines, which claimed the spot for best island in Asia for 2022 (95.13).
