A seven-year-old Triton cockatoo broke the Guinness World Record as the fastest scooter-riding cockatoo or parrot in the world with a time record of 14.58 seconds, United Press International news agency reported yesterday.
Chico, who is the pet of Bulgarian resident Kaloyan Yavashev, rode the scooter 5 meters in 17.79 seconds while setting the first record.
Five days later, Chico set a new record when it managed to clock in 5 meters in 14.58 seconds when it was invited to the Italian television program, Lo Show del Record.
According to Yavashev, as a professional parrot breeder and trainer, he kept Chico when he was three months old and since then, Chico began to show its natural talent.
Chico was always a curious bird eager to explore the endless possibilities available, showing a level of intelligence worthy of praise.
"We started training Chico to do more serious actions, but he was able to do various things easily without any problems," said Yavashev.
