Archer Fatin Nurfatehah Breaks National Record at Paris 2023 World Cup

National female archer Fatin Nurfatehah Mat Salleh created a sensation at the Archery World Cup 2023 Stage 4 when she renewed the national record of the women's individual compound event in Paris today.

According to https://info.worldarchery.org , the 32-year-old archer collected a total of 704 points after 72 arrows in the qualifying round, for ranking determination and thus erased the old record of 701 points set at the 2023 World Cup Stage 1 in Turkey in April .

The 2015 Archery World Cup Stage 1 gold medallist, who finished seventh in the tournament, is scheduled to meet Hong Kong challenger Ho Yan Tsang, in the first round tomorrow.

In the meantime, for the men's individual compound event, compatriot Mohd Juwaidi Mazuki recorded 707 points in total after 72 arrows in the qualification round, to determine the ranking and will meet Indonesian archer Rajat Chauhan in the first round.

The mixed compound event saw Fatin Nurfatehah-Mohd Juwaidi record a total of 1411 points in the qualifying round and qualify for the 1/8 elimination round.
