Android users will soon be able to manage multiple WhatsApp accounts on a single device.

Meta is rolling out a new feature where users with either a second phone number and SIM card or a phone that accepts multi-SIM or eSIM will be able to activate this feature.

This step is essential to associate the second WhatsApp account with a valid phone number, in accordance with the service platform’s policies.

According to reports, users can activate this feature by heading to their WhatsApp settings, tapping on the arrow next to their name, and selecting “Add account”.

Once activated, users will receive a one-time passcode via SMS.

This SMS will be sent to the second phone or its SIM card.

After completing this verification process, users will be able to operate both accounts without requiring a second device of SIM.

This new feature aims to eliminate the need for users to carry an extra device or go through the hassle of logging in and out of their accounts when switching between different accounts for varying purposes.

It remains unclear if and when this feature will be extended to iOS and PC devices.
