After a seven-year wait, Expendables 4 is finally happening and is set to be screened in September.
Sylvester Stallone will once again return as Barney Ross, while Jason Statham is taking on Lee Christmas once more, Dolph Lundgren is back as Gunner Jensen, and Randy Couture will be there once again as Toll Road.
This time around, however, the famous four will be joined by several new additions.
Among the new faces in this action-packed fourth instalment include Megan Fox, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Andy Garcia, and Tony Jaa.
Garcia will be playing a CIA agent who accompanies the Expendables on their latest mission, while Megan Fox will likely play the role of a badass. Iko Uwais will also be part of the plot this time as the lead villain.
In this fourth part, the old timers and newbies are charged with averting World War III by taking out “terrorists [who] have taken possession of nuclear missiles on a cargo ship off the coast.
The official synopsis for the film reads: “The Expendables are the world’s last line of defence and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give ‘new blood’ a whole new meaning.”
The first three Expendables outings were released in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
