21-year-old, Wang Zihui created a buzz on the Internet last month and continues to be the talk of the town when she impressed judges in a China’s talent show, ‘The Coming One’.
Watch Zihui’s performance below.
During her audition, Zihui performed an original reggae song titled, ‘I Don’t Understand, You Don’t Understand’. While she received comments from some judges for mumbling during her performance, her powerful vocals still managed to capture the hearts of the judges and audience.
As a matter of fact, she earned five stars from six judges! (How impressive is that!)

Zihui is still currently competing in the season. In fact, the singer has been working hard at composing her own music to prove that she is more than just a one-trick pony.
She has clearly come a long way. It was not a walk in the park as she had to take a leap of faith in order to make her dreams come true. Zihui had to quit her day job to fully focus on her passion. She also struck a deal with her father who in turn agreed to support her financially for a year.
“I really want to make music. If you take music out of my life, then I would no longer be Jay Wang,” she told The Star.
Zihui has also participated in other singing competitions. She tried her hand at Sing! China last year. Unfortunately, the singer couldn’t represent the country as she did not make it in the top three.
Singing aside, Zihui also has a passion for culinary arts! Although she did not attend university, Zihui took up a culinary course and she is able to cook various food ranging from Oriental to Western cuisines.
Good luck, Zihui! Malaysia is definitely rooting for you!
