National shuttler Cheah Liek Hou has just secured Malaysia’s second gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games on September 4.

This is the first-time badminton is being contested at the prestigious sporting event.
The 33-year-old secured the contingent’s second gold medal after defeating Indonesia’s Dheva Anrimusthi with 21-17, 21-15 in a 50-minute men’s singles SU5 (physical impairment) final.
The impressive victory was celebrated at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, adding on to Liek Hou’s unbeaten run for 35 matches since October 2019.
Liek Hou’s stellar performance has secured many world titles and he is also a multiple medal winner of the Asian Para Games and Asean Para Games.
Malaysian top shuttler Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei has extended his heartfelt message to Liek Hou pursuant to his win through Instagram.
