A father and son duo came to the aid of an 81-year-old man who rode his motorcycle from his home in Malacca to Johor, spending a night on the streets.
The senior citizen had wandered too far from a trip to get some dinner.
The uncle, who lives alone had gone out to get his dinner when he wandered too far from his home in Ayer Keroh and ended up on the highway.
After it became dark, he could not figure out where he was heading and ended up spending the night at a bus stop.
When it was morning, he rode on till he came across a durian stall in Bukit Pasir, Muar, about 80km from his home.
Apparently, police officers at inter-state roadblocks were on a break and did not notice him at the time.
Upon hearing the uncle’s story, the durian stall owners then bought him breakfast and later sent him home.
They used one of their vehicles which could ferry the old man and his motorcycle.
The uncle safely returned home at 11am.
