It was a memorable moment for four-year-old Francesca Rausi when she walked down the runway at a fashion show in Malta.

The toddler melted hearts of the audience and judges alike. Despite her age, Francesca has already appeared at various fashion events. It turns out that this event was her fifth time on the runway! Fifth time’s a charm indeed as young Francesca shared the stage with Australian model, Madeline Stuart, the world’s first catwalk model with Down Syndrome.

Speaking to Metro UK, Francesca’s mother, Michelle, revealed – “Francesca has been modeling since she was very young. She loves it and was the first toddler in Malta to take part in a modeling competition and won the junior top model.”

The young model is also looking forward to compete in Malta’s Junior Miss Christmas pageant. As a proud parent, Francesca’s mom takes great joy in watching her daughter pursue the things she loves -“I feel very emotional watching her because I see the happiness in her eyes. It’s out of this world,” Michelle told Metro UK.

When asked about her future aspirations, Francesca says the plan is to continue pursuing a career as a fashion model. In the long run, Michelle hopes that her daughter’s career will inspire other children to pursue their passion and raise awareness about Down syndrome.

It is definitely great to see real inclusion in the fashion industry by “breaking down the mental barriers of those who see disability as a limit” as quite rightly said by Tiziana Randisi, the organiser of the charity fashion event.

Congratulations to Francesca and other models at the fashion show!
